Another week, another season switchover. Following couture week’s culmination last Thursday, Monday marked the beginning of the sophomore season of New York Fashion Week: Men's, which finished on Thursday. On Wednesday evening, Hedi Slimane will take over the Hollywood Palladium for his Fall 2016 menswear show. It is rumoured to be his swan song for the brand, but I’m skeptical. That same night on the east coast, New York Fashion Week will begin with the VFiles show. I know which one I’d choose. I will be doing daily reviews of the shows from shows during NYFW so tune in for those.

This past week has seen the departure of three designer departures at a triumvirate of Italian menswear brands. Stefano Pilati of Ermenegildo Zegna Couture, Brendan Mullane of Brioni, and Alessandro Sartori of Berluti are all parting ways with their respective positions. They have all come off a brilliant season; I’m excited to see what the future holds for them. The tea leaves have already been read for Sartori who will be Pilati’s successor at Zegna.

Yesterday afternoon, after months of speculation, Phoebe Philo’s departure from Céline was announced. The designer’s Fall 2016 collection during Paris Fashion Week will be her last. Of course the rumours are aplenty. Dior, Saint Laurent, Lanvin, Alaïa (who denied the possibility) are names that have been thrown about.

Links posts will be halting for, most likely, the duration of fashion week. Between Award Season Round Up, this, attending London Fashion Week for the seventh time, and NYFW & PFW daily updates, fashion month will become hectic and allow little time for Links. '5 Questions w/ …’ will also be making a return after fashion month.

Correction: an earlier version of this post incorrectly reported that Phoebe Philo was departing Céline. CEO Marco Gobbetti, and Philo denied the rumours, stating they will continue to work together.
