What I’m Reading:

David Bowie’s Indelible Mark on Fashion
David Bowie sadly passed away on Sunday night. The New York Times published an article on his influence on fashion. The artist will forever be referenced in fashion. Though I could only namecheck Life on Mars, his former title Ziggy Stardust, and his new album Blackstar, his knock on effect on the fashion world was unmistakable and utterly brilliant.

Golden Globes Red Carpet: Couture Without the Cliché
An enjoyable analysis of the red carpet at the Golden Globes from Vanessa Friedman. I’m a huge fan of her writing and it’s always interesting to see different perspectives on award season dressing. Round-Up 2 will be up tomorrow afternoon.

What I’m Listening To:

Monster - Kanye West ft. Jay Z, Rick Ross, Nicki Minaj, Bon Iver
After watching Adele rap to Nicki’s rap in Kanye West’s song ‘Monster’, on James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke, I immediately rushed to Spotify to play the song. As also displayed by the YouTube comments section of the song: this one is all about Nicki.

What I’m Watching:

2016 Golden Globes
Ricky Gervais’ fourth turn at hosting the Golden Globes wasn't as hilarious a you’d expect. The ceremony itself went down swimmingly. Jennifer Lawrence, Lady Gaga and Brie Larson all picked up awards for acting which I was very pleased with. Aaron Sorkin’s fantastic writing for Steve Jobs was recognised by the HFPA. Besides Gaga in American Horror Story, none of the other shows I watch were recognised. Noticeably, the HFPA honoured 6 newcomers in the television categories.

Fargo -
I had watched the first four episodes of Fargo season 1 last year and picked up the last six over the past few days. It is one of the most gripping television series around. Billy Bob Thornton and Allison Tolman in particular acted magnificently as the antagonist and protagonist, respectively.
