2015 Met Gala: Best Dressed

The Met Gala was yesterday evening and well, there were some amazing looks! My personal favourite was Amal Alamuddin Clooney floored me in her custom made Martin Margiela Artisanal strapless gown with a tiered skirt and a Chinese military inspired bodice. Wow! Uma Thurman, who usually bores me, stunned in her custom Atelier Versace white V-neck gown with a thigh high split. I'm pleasantly surprised. Ashley Olsen brought the subtle, gothic glam to the red carpet and I'm enamoured. Her intricate lace gown is beautiful!

The petulant king of the tweens himself, Justin Bieber, was another pleasant surprise on the red carpet. He always dresses badly but this Balmain Haute Couture blazer is awesome. The vest inside and the Cheongasm gold encapsulated the theme, so kudos to you! Emma Roberts was another beauty to take to the red carpet. Her emerald green Ralph Lauren Collection one shouldered gown with a side split an and a split in the arm is gorgeous. Reese Witherspoon, after a dull award season, packed a punch with her Jason Wu strapless gown with a thigh high split. Her red platform sandals, red box clutch, and diamond jewels completed this beautiful look.
The Queen herself! Rihanna. Oh, Rihanna! I am in love with her, her music and this look. This Guo Pei coat with a couple-metre-long train, intricate Cheongasm and fur details blew me away.
1) She stayed true to the theme.
2) She looked fabulous, in doing so.
3) This look will go down in history.

This wasn't such a great year for the Gala. There were some great looks, but also some terrible ones and forgettable ones. Looking at my favourites (and a lot of others) only a few interpreted the theme.
